[2023 Asset Disclosure] 'Mujuhta' Jeong Seung-il, KEPCO President, 220 Million KRW... Gold Bars and Oriental Paintings Worth 150 Million KRW

Jung Seung-il, President of Korea Electric Power Corporation, was reported to have assets worth 225 million KRW.

According to the 2023 regular asset disclosure report for high-ranking public officials published by the Government Ethics Committee on the 30th, President Jung declared a leasehold deposit of 50 million KRW for an apartment in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, under his name.

Deposit assets were reported as 58 million KRW under his name, and 24 million KRW and 35 million KRW under the names of his spouse and eldest son, respectively. President Jung's deposits increased due to partial loan deposits, while his eldest son's ETF securities deposits decreased due to price declines.

The value of a 2014 Genesis vehicle (engine displacement 3800cc) registered under his name was reported as 17 million KRW. Financial liabilities totaled 124 million KRW, including new loans.

President Jung's spouse reported owning gold bars worth 85 million KRW, a diamond ring worth 10 million KRW, and six Oriental paintings valued at 64 million KRW.

Hwang Ju-ho, President of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, reported assets worth 6.592 billion KRW.

President Hwang was found to own a building in Daegwallyeong-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do (145 million KRW), and a mixed-use building in Seocho-gu, Seoul, jointly owned with his spouse, valued at 9.145 billion KRW.

Deposits were reported as 385 million KRW under his name, 654 million KRW under his spouse's name, and a total of 1.137 billion KRW including his mother and second daughter.

He owns a 2020 Mohave (3000cc) and a 2017 GLA 220 (2000cc) under his name, with a declared value of 32 million KRW. Securities were reported at 8.01 million KRW.

On the other hand, liabilities amount to approximately 3.912 billion KRW. President Hwang holds financial debts of 3 billion KRW and building lease debts of 632 million KRW. His spouse reported building lease debts of 277.5 million KRW.
