Goheung-gun Enhances Integrity Awareness with Integrity Golden Bell Competition

Achieving Integrity and Kindness Branding Through Labor-Management Cooperation

Gohung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced that it is making multifaceted efforts to raise public officials' awareness of integrity and interest in corruption prevention.

From the 23rd to the 25th, the Gohung-gun branch of the National Government Employees' Union (Branch Chief Jang In-hwa) held the "2023 First Half Labor-Management Win-Win Development Workshop" in Jeju Island, where 50 participants including union delegates took part in the "Integrity Golden Bell Contest."

This contest was jointly organized by labor and management to enhance integrity by helping employees understand the "Conflict of Interest Prevention Act" and the "Improper Solicitation and Graft Act" through quiz-style questions based on knowledge learned from previous integrity education, thereby fostering a consensus on the importance of integrity.

On the day, Governor Gong Young-min and senior officials participated alongside employees, solving OX quizzes and multiple-choice quizzes, providing an opportunity to communicate the importance of improving corruption awareness to enhance integrity.

The final two contestants were Governor Gong Young-min and Seo Isu, a staff member from Namyang-myeon, adding excitement to the event, with Seo ultimately becoming the winner of the Golden Bell.

Branch Chief Jang In-hwa stated, "The Government Employees' Union is willing to step forward to improve Gohung-gun's integrity," and added, "We hope that this quiz contest, which allows learning while enjoying rather than rigid integrity education, will spread a positive culture of integrity."

Meanwhile, Gohung-gun has declared "Integrity and Courtesy are the Gohung-gun Brand" and is promoting efforts such as breaking bad practices and conducting integrity campaigns together with the Government Employees' Union.
