Korea Airports Corporation announced that it will exhibit AI X-ray screening equipment jointly developed with Deepnoid and CNI at the ‘22nd World Security Expo’ held at KINTEX in Ilsan from the 29th to the 31st.

Hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the World Security Expo is the world's only integrated security exhibition where physical security and information protection solutions can be experienced in one place. This year, 355 companies from 10 countries are participating.

The AI X-ray screening equipment uses an AI-based deep learning algorithm to quickly and accurately interpret detected items, reducing security screening waiting times and improving security screening efficiency by minimizing human errors through visual interpretation support.

The Corporation will set up a KAC promotional booth and showcase aviation security products that prevent aircraft terrorism and the pre-boarding of various hazardous materials, as well as corporate security products that detect items such as USBs and cameras to prevent information leakage.

President Yoon Hyung-jung stated, “Through the technological cooperation of the three companies, we have developed the nation's first AI X-ray screening equipment to improve the accuracy and efficiency of security screening, and we will accelerate efforts to pioneer not only the domestic but also overseas markets.”

The AI X-ray automatic interpretation solution developed by the Corporation and Deepnoid was recognized for its technological value and product excellence last June and was selected as an innovative product by the Public Procurement Service, enabling direct contracts. Currently, aviation security products are installed and operated at airports nationwide including Gimpo, Gimhae, and Jeju, and corporate security products are used by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the National Assembly, and major domestic companies.
