Launch of 'Pink Dream' Campaign as Part of ESG Management
31-Day Profit 3.1%, Donation to Youth Preparing for Independence
SPC Baskin-Robbins announced on the 29th the official launch of the 'Pink Dream' campaign, which supports the successful independence and dreams of youth preparing for self-reliance.
Youth preparing for self-reliance refers to young people who have lived in child care facilities or foster families and must prepare to enter society after reaching the age limit (18 to 24 years old) when protection ends. Pink Dream, conducted by Baskin-Robbins in collaboration with the international relief and development organization 'World Vision,' is a campaign linked to Baskin-Robbins' '31 Day' event that supports a total of 31 youth preparing for self-reliance to settle as healthy members of society.
Baskin-Robbins holds the 31 Day event every month, offering a benefit that upgrades the Family size to a half-gallon. Since December last year, 3.1% of the event's proceeds have been set aside as donations. The accumulated amount will be used to support the livelihoods of youth preparing for self-reliance in the first and second halves of the year. The company stated, "The Pink Dream campaign is meaningful in that it incorporates social value into the brand's representative event, 31 Day, and is created together with consumers," adding, "3.1% of the proceeds from the March 31 Day event on the 31st will also be allocated as the third donation."
In the second half of the year, they plan to actively encourage social advancement through marketing mentoring and job support to strengthen vocational skills for those who wish to participate. In cooperation with Ewha Medical Center, comprehensive health checkups and psychological counseling programs will be provided to help youth achieve healthy independence both physically and emotionally. Ewha Medical Center is also running 'SPC Happy Together,' a support program sponsored by the SPC Happy Foundation that provides approximately 100 million KRW annually to 100 youth preparing for self-reliance.
