LF announced on the 29th that the British classic brand DAKS will present a new women's collection inspired by the British town of St Ives, famous as a city of artists.
Luc Goidadin, the world-renowned designer and Creative Director of DAKS who previously worked at Burberry, set the theme for the 23 SS season’s core design concept as traveling to three representative British cities: London, St Ives, and Glasgow, the cultural capital of Scotland, incorporating the characteristics and cultures of each region. Following last month’s launch of the ‘DAKS London Trench’ themed around London, the DAKS St Ives line will be released next month.
This DAKS collection applies decorative elements inspired by various sculptures and paintings found in St Ives. The collection features dresses, two-piece sets, and jackets with three-dimensional patterns that stand out. Capturing the mood of St Ives, well known as a tourist resort, the collection includes blouses, skirts, and knits in refreshing colors suitable for a holiday destination such as olive and light blue, as well as stripes.
In the photoshoot featuring actress Kim Yongji, you can see flare skirts and jacquard knits highlighted by DAKS’s self-developed irregular pattern points, as well as denim dresses and two-piece setup items.
The DAKS St Ives collection line will be sequentially launched starting next month at LF’s premium lifestyle specialty LF Mall and DAKS women’s offline stores nationwide. The collection photoshoot with actress Kim Yongji can also be viewed on DAKS’s official Instagram.
