Korea Gas Corporation announced on the 28th that, based on the sales performance analysis of five city gas companies in the Seoul area, the total billed amount for residential city gas in March decreased by approximately 163.5 billion KRW compared to the previous month.
The gas bill per household is expected to decrease by 37,100 KRW compared to last month. This is attributed to households reducing gas consumption after the heating cost crisis in January following last year's gas price increase.
Last month, the sales volume of residential city gas in Seoul decreased by about 27% (150,000 tons) compared to the previous month and by 6.0% (30,000 tons) compared to last year. During this winter season (December last year to February this year), nationwide residential city gas sales volume decreased by 2.7% (120,000 tons) compared to the previous winter season. The payment for natural gas purchases during the winter season decreased by 138.9 billion KRW.
