On the 28th, NHN held its regular shareholders' meeting at the Pangyo Gyeonggi Creative Economy Innovation Center and newly appointed Jung Ji-won, Director of the Investment Division at Sierra Investment, as an outside director. Director Jung is the first female outside director since the company's founding.
The newly appointed outside director Jung Ji-won is a financial accounting and management expert with extensive experience gained from Samil Accounting Corporation and private equity fund management firms. Based on her high level of expertise and rich experience, the company expects that she will greatly contribute to strengthening NHN's financial soundness and management transparency.
NHN plans to accelerate efforts to enhance medium- to long-term corporate value and strengthen Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management while respecting the independence of outside directors in major management matters such as the ongoing group structure efficiency improvements.
An NHN official stated, “We appointed Jung Ji-won as the first female outside director since the company's establishment, believing that her expertise in financial accounting will support our transparent management initiatives. We will fully guarantee the independence of outside directors in decision-making and supervisory activities, establish transparent governance, and devote ourselves to ESG management.”
Meanwhile, at the regular shareholders' meeting, NHN resolved all major agenda items, including the appointment of Jung Ji-won as a new outside director, the reappointment of CEO Jung Woo-jin as an inside director, approval of the director remuneration limit, and approval of the financial statements and appropriation of retained earnings.
