- Now the Food Waste Processor Talks: IOT Food Waste Processor 'Barimi' Launch
GL Plus, established as a specialized microorganism company, announced that it will participate in the 'Mega Show 2023 Season 1' held in Suwon from March 30 to April 2.
At this Suwon Mega Show, GL Plus plans to showcase a new microbial food waste processor equipped with new features. The newly released microbial food waste processor, "Barimi," is an AI-type smart food waste processor with IoT voice recognition functionality. When you say "Hi Barimi," it responds with "Yes," and if you say "Open!" or "Open," the lid opens automatically.
Additionally, the existing microbial food decomposition function has been further enhanced by classifying functions into ECO 1, 2, and 3 according to the form of the food waste, enabling faster and more accurate decomposition.
This feature was created to resolve the inconvenience of having to open the lid again when disposing of moist food waste using both hands, significantly improving customer convenience.
This new product will be unveiled for the first time at the Suwon Mega Show and will be offered at a special discounted price on-site to commemorate its launch.
Kim Wan-jae, CEO of GL Plus Co., Ltd., stated, "We will become a microorganism-specialized company that approaches customers in a friendly way with the simple and fun phrase 'Microbial Barimi that processes immediately,'" adding, "While GL Plus has so far focused on the distribution of eco-friendly food waste processors centered on microorganisms, from this year onward, we will take the lead in restoring the environment." He also expressed his ambition for eco-friendly business and his commitment to a platform business that helps all citizens easily and conveniently practice carbon neutrality in their daily lives.
Meanwhile, GL Plus was selected as a participating company in the energy and environment economic delegation during President Yoon’s visit to the UAE last January. Based on its experience signing export contracts with six Middle Eastern countries including Saudi Arabia in 2019, the company plans to actively expand into the global market.
