Establishing a Labor-Management Culture of Mutual Growth and Cooperation, Creating a Happy Workplace, etc.
Gongyeongmin, the governor of Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do, along with Jang Inhwa, head of the Goheung-gun branch of the National Public Officials Labor Union, and over 50 others, held a labor-management win-win development workshop for three days starting March 23 in Jeju Island.
The workshop was held under the theme "Happy Workplace, Livable Goheung" to establish a sound and rational labor-management culture through building a cooperative labor-management relationship and to create a pleasant workplace atmosphere.
The county conducted various programs including a special lecture by Dr. Joo Cheol-hee on the Jeju 4·3 and Yeosu-Suncheon 10·19 incidents, exploration of Jeju 4·3 historical sites, a Clean Golden Bell quiz, and a happiness talk show with the governor.
In particular, Governor Gongyeongmin personally led the happiness talk show, providing a communication time to ask and answer questions on various fields such as overall county administration and employee welfare improvement.
Governor Gongyeongmin said, "Since the beginning of the 8th elected term, I have persistently strived to create an exciting workplace and an office where people want to come to work, and I will continue to spare no support to make the office a happier workplace." He added, "I ask the employees to focus solely on the residents together with the governor and work hard for the change and development of Goheung."
A county official stated, "We will continue to promote various policies to create a happy workplace in mutual cooperation with the public officials labor union."
