The traffic safety campaign on that day was carried out jointly by the Seoul Geumcheon Police Station, the road operator Gangnam Sunhwan Road, and the Seoul Southern Road Office (Overload Control Team), the jurisdictional road management authority. A total of 32 people participated in this campaign.

Public awareness efforts were made regarding the recently revised Road Traffic Act Enforcement Rules, including the "temporary stop when turning right on a red light," alongside crackdowns on drunk driving.

The police stated, "This served as an opportunity to raise road users' awareness of safe driving and to instill vigilance about compliance with traffic laws."
