A Man in His 50s Arrested After Voluntarily Reporting Drug Use at a Motel in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul

A man in his 50s who self-administered drugs and voluntarily reported himself was arrested by the police.

On the 28th, the Suseo Police Station in Seoul announced that they had urgently arrested a man in his 50s, Mr. A, on the previous day on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act and other related laws.

According to the police, Mr. A is suspected of using drugs at a motel located in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, around 10 p.m. the previous day. It is known that he reported himself to the police after using the drugs.

The police did not find syringes or other items used for drug use at the scene, but are conducting an investigation based on his statements.

A police official stated, "A simple drug test for Mr. A is scheduled to be conducted," and added, "We will investigate the exact circumstances of the crime."
