Ultra-luxury apartment resilient even in real estate downturn
Ranked 3rd nationwide by official price... 1st is The Penthouse Cheongdam
Even during the real estate downturn, the 'league of their own' continues. An apartment in Seoul was bought and sold for well over 10 billion KRW. It is the 'Hannam The Hill' in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's real transaction price disclosure system on the 28th, a 240.3㎡ (5th floor) unit in Hannam The Hill changed hands for 11 billion KRW on the 10th. This follows a transaction at 11 billion KRW in May last year, before housing prices plummeted due to high interest rates, marking another sale at the highest price. Compared to the May 2021 sale price of 7.75 billion KRW, it increased by 3.25 billion KRW.
11 billion KRW is also the highest apartment sale price nationwide this year. From January to March, there were no transactions exceeding 10 billion KRW anywhere in the country.

Hannam The Hill is an ultra-luxury apartment complex developed by Daewoo Construction and Kumho Industrial in 2011 on the former Dankook University site, consisting of 32 buildings and 600 households. From 2014, when sales became possible, until 2020, it had the highest real transaction prices among apartments nationwide. It is known to be home to conglomerate heirs, actor So Ji-sub, and broadcaster Lee Young-ja.
Hannam The Hill is also the third highest publicly announced housing price apartment nationwide. According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the publicly announced price for a 244.75㎡ unit in Hannam The Hill is 8.837 billion KRW, ranking third after The Penthouse Cheongdam 407.71㎡ (16.24 billion KRW) in first place, and Nine One Hannam 244.72㎡ (9.74 billion KRW) in second place.
