HMM, Transporting Temporary Housing to Turkey for 'Earthquake Damage' Relief

HMM announced on the 28th that it has started transporting temporary housing containers for T?rkiye, which is struggling due to the earthquake.

These containers are mobile containers that were used as accommodation facilities during last year's Qatar World Cup. Qatar has expressed its intention to donate these containers.

HMM loaded 586 temporary housing containers, 16 more than the originally planned quantity, onto the multipurpose vessel (MPV) ‘HMM Ulsan’ at Hamad, Qatar. The vessel departed on the 27th and is expected to arrive in ?skenderun, T?rkiye around the 10th of next month.

An HMM official stated, “We will do our best to ensure the temporary housing containers are transported without any issues,” and added, “We will continue to participate in global social contribution activities by leveraging the expertise of the shipping company.”
