On the 27th, Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that the '2023 Korea Orchid Masterpiece Grand Exhibition' successfully concluded on the 26th.
Held under the theme 'Meeting the Future of Korean Choonran in Hampyeong,' the event took place over two days, on the 25th and 26th, at the Hampyeong Culture and Sports Center.
Approximately 580 Korean Choonran orchids were exhibited at this competition, attracting a total of about 35,000 visitors.

Sixty judges selected from across the country conducted a fair evaluation and awarded 155 prizes, including the Presidential Award and Ministerial Awards.
The grand prize, the Presidential Award, was honored to Osuncheol for his entry Jugum Sosim (registered name: Taehongso), who also received a prize money of 10 million won.
Additionally, the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award, the highest excellence award, was given to Ihanseul, and the Minister of Environment Award was awarded to Park Kibum.
Notably, this year's Orchid Masterpiece Grand Exhibition featured top-level works from all over the country, reaffirming its status as a representative national orchid festival.
Jang Jongman, the Promotion Committee Chairman of the Hampyeong Orchid Association, said, “This event attracted as many visitors as before COVID-19,” and added, “We will strive to revitalize the stagnant orchid industry.”
