The National Gwangju Science Museum announced on the 27th that it successfully held the '2023 1st Quarter Special Invitation Event on Closed Days' in collaboration with the National Gwangju Science Museum Supporters Association.
This invitation event accepted applications from special schools, multicultural schools, and social welfare facilities located in the Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk regions, and Gwangju Seonmyeong School was finally selected.
Students from Seonmyeong School enjoyed their time by touring the permanent exhibition hall, the special video theater Space 360, and a robot dance performance together with the science museum staff.
Jeon Tae-ho, Acting Director of the Gwangju Science Museum, said, "We are making continuous efforts to bridge the science culture gap for underprivileged groups in science culture," and added, "We hope for much interest and participation from local companies and citizens in the Gwangju Science Museum Supporters Association."
The Gwangju Science Museum Supporters Association holds special invitation events on closed days quarterly, and also implements various projects to bridge the science culture gap, such as the 'Visiting Science Museum' and 'Science Camp.'
