Changwon Special City Establishes Rapid Response System for Disaster Occurrences During the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival period, the 'Changwon City Special Disaster Safety Situation Room' is being operated.

The city is intensively monitoring crowded places such as Yeojaecheon, Jungwon Rotary, and Gyeonghwa Station during the festival period. Especially from 6 PM to 11 PM, an automatic alarm is set when more than 50 people gather to focus on surveillance.

Additionally, by utilizing PS-LTE (disaster safety communication network), a communication system has been established among the disaster safety situation room, fire station, police station, health center, and other related agencies. The special disaster safety situation room operates to ensure smooth communication between the situation room and the field through real-time video of crowded areas throughout Jinhae, such as Yeojaecheon, Jinhaeru, and Gyeonghwa Station, where the largest crowds gather.

Ha Jongmok, the first deputy mayor, stated, “Smooth communication between the field, the situation room, and related agencies is very important for quick and accurate situation assessment and dissemination in case of a disaster.” He added, “Through continuous inspections, we will maintain a close command system to prevent and prepare for disaster factors in advance so that citizens can safely enjoy the Gunhangje Festival.”
