Prosecutors Conduct Search and Seizure at Seoul Police 112 Situation Room Related to 'Itaewon Disaster'

The Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office, investigating the Itaewon disaster, has conducted a search and seizure of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in connection with the investigation of the patrol team leader of the Itaewon Police Substation.

According to the prosecution on the 27th, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office has been executing a search and seizure since the morning at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's 112 Situation Room in Naejadong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, as well as the offices of relevant departments.

The prosecution stated, "We are executing the search and seizure warrant to investigate the falsification and alteration of 112 call processing results related to the investigation of the patrol team leader of the Itaewon Police Substation, who was transferred by the Police Agency's Special Investigation Headquarters on charges including professional negligence resulting in death or injury."
