Kakao Releases Kakao Friends' First TV Animation 'My Heart is Muzi'

Kakao is launching its first TV animation series using Kakao Friends, titled "My Heart is Muzi." "My Heart is Muzi" will premiere on April 1 and will air every Saturday at 8 a.m. on the Tooniverse channel.


"My Heart is Muzi" is an animation designed to help children aged 3 to 5 properly understand and express their emotions. Kakao devoted great effort to each stage of planning, casting, and production over a total of two years. Each episode features familiar everyday stories and lively music, with 26 episodes of 6 minutes each to be broadcast.


This animation introduces the "Kakao Friends Kids" characters for the first time. New characters include Muzi’s younger sibling "Muching" and Jay-G’s twin older sister "Hatataji."


The production team for "My Heart is Muzi" includes director Oh Seo-ro, an award-winning figure at international animation festivals; writer Shin Hae-gang, who has penned scripts for popular animations such as "Tayo" and "Tobot V"; and producer Park Moon-chi, known as a genius musician. Additionally, child psychology expert Jung Yoo-jin, head of Hightodak, served as an advisor.


Go Sin-woo, head of Kakao’s IP Business Development Team, said, "'My Heart is Muzi' is Kakao Friends’ first TV animation series and marks the beginning of the 'Kakao Friends Kids' characters, so we have prepared diligently over a long period." He added, "We especially expect it to help develop emotional recognition skills in the 'Corona Kids,' and we hope children grow into emotionally strong individuals by watching 'My Heart is Muzi.'"
