Bidirectional Connection of Domestic Companies and Overseas Buyers' Demand
KOTRA recently announced on the 27th that it will promote the 'Meeting Buyers Again' project to achieve the government's export plus goal.
The 'Meeting Buyers Again' project connects the demands of domestic companies and overseas buyers bidirectionally. It links domestic companies with the buyers they want to meet, while also arranging for buyers to reconnect with domestic companies they wish to meet again.
Since the 8th, KOTRA has been accepting applications for the Meeting Buyers Again project from domestic companies through its website, and various difficulties have been reported. A representative from Company A said, "We had signed an MOU with a buyer last year, but contact was lost while scheduling a visit to the Korean factory this year," and requested KOTRA's overseas trade office to reconnect with the buyer. KOTRA's overseas trade offices contact buyers who have lost communication and support reconnection with domestic companies.
If there are domestic companies that buyers want to meet again, KOTRA's overseas trade offices also provide support. From the 10th to the 16th, applications were received from 130 buyers worldwide over five days.
Through the Meeting Buyers Again project, KOTRA plans to support 10,000 domestic companies. By promptly addressing export difficulties on-site both domestically and internationally during the project, it is expected to lead to export achievements in a short period.
Jeon Chun-woo, Head of KOTRA's Small and Medium Enterprises Division, said, "With the recent COVID-19 reopening, demand for buyer visits to Korea is increasing, creating more export opportunities," adding, "We will contribute to achieving export plus by reconnecting buyers who had lost contact with domestic companies."
