Fila Korea announced on the 27th that it will hold a unique tennis festival, '2023 White Open Seoul,' at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul.
Held over two days on April 7 and 8, this event was planned by Fila, celebrating its 50th anniversary in tennis, to create a special festival space with tennis-loving citizens at a landmark representing Seoul. The name White Open was inspired by the 'White Line,' Fila's signature tennis wear born in the 1970s and still loved today, as well as one of the brand's symbolic colors, white.
Fila organized the event around two themes: the 'White Arena,' an exclusive area for tennis enthusiasts who apply in advance, and the 'White Garden,' open to all citizens visiting Gwanghwamun Square.
At the White Arena, experiential programs for tennis fans are prepared. Notable programs include one-point lessons by tennis legend coach Lee Hyung-taek and tennis player coach Song Ah, and 'Tennis Pilates' by fitness creator Hopisophy Lee Eun-hyung. Participation is possible through a lottery by applying after purchasing one of the two tennis product packages specially released for this event, including the White Package.
The White Package consists of three items: a 'Tennis Life short-sleeve T-shirt,' the 'Speed Serve T9' tennis shoes well-known as worn by player Kwon Soon-woo, and tennis accessories. Upon purchase, customers receive a White Arena program application ticket, an on-site voucher, a Fila product discount coupon, and a sun cushion. It can be purchased through pre-reservation on Fila's official online store from the 29th of this month until the 2nd of next month. Participation applications are available immediately after purchase on the online store. Additionally, special programs exclusive to Fila's White Open include the 'White Club Match,' a big match between tennis clubs nationwide, and the 'White Night,' enjoyed at night. Customers who purchase the Essential Package will be entered into a draw to win two tickets for a tennis trip to Guam, supported by the Guam Visitors Bureau. The White Garden will be set up as a space anyone can enjoy, featuring not only tennis activities but also a picnic zone, photo zone, jazz sessions, and an F&B zone. Detailed information can be found on Fila Korea's official online store or Instagram.
A Fila Korea representative said, "With the full-fledged tennis season approaching, we prepared this event to share Fila's unique tennis spirit, which has been part of the brand's history, with more people in a special way. As this is a unique event held in the heart of Seoul at Gwanghwamun, we hope it becomes a time to create special memories with your loved ones."
