DA Technology announced on the 27th that it will take necessary legal action against the dissemination of false information, erroneous reports, and defamation related to DA Technology by Gemvax Link and Vogue International (Vogue).
Amid malicious defamation exchanged between the management and minority shareholders of Gemvax Link over a management dispute, DA Technology plans to actively respond with necessary legal measures regarding the fact that DA Tech, which is unrelated to the dispute, is being mentioned.
Furthermore, DA Technology has received an unqualified audit opinion through a lawful accounting audit conducted by an external auditor designated by the Financial Supervisory Service, and it holds the position that unilateral claims that there is a problem with the audit opinion are not even worth responding to.
Additionally, DA Technology has only paid the contract deposit related to Vogue and, since the transaction has not been completed, is not directly involved in Vogue's management. Discussions are ongoing regarding future operational directions, and the payment deadline was postponed through a disclosure on the 24th.
Jongwook Lee, CEO of DA Technology, stated, “False information has been spread amid the Gemvax Link management dispute, and we regret causing confusion and concern among shareholders due to malicious erroneous reports and defamation. The media reports on this matter are completely unfounded, and we will do our best to resolve this quickly through the appointment of a law firm and legal review.”
He added, “DA Technology is currently focusing on the secondary battery business, having recently escaped from being a speculative investment stock and achieved record-high order volumes. We will actively respond to acts that damage corporate and shareholder value, such as malicious erroneous reports and defamation caused by involvement in other companies’ management disputes.”
Meanwhile, the Gemvax Link Emergency Committee claimed, “When Chairman Sangjae Kim of the Gemvax Group faced difficulties securing voting rights, he ordered a report to discredit the Emergency Committee’s image for the purpose of defending management rights,” and stated, “We will proceed with legal action against Chairman Kim and the accuser.”
