Operating Volume Increased More Than Double
Lotte Mart and Lotte Super announced on the 27th that from the 30th of this month to the 12th of next month, they will hold the second 'Juju (宙酒) General Meeting' featuring over 600 popular wines and whiskeys at nationwide Lotte Mart, Max, and 19 premium Lotte Super stores. This year, they have integrated the supply volumes of Lotte Mart and Lotte Super and conducted joint sourcing, doubling the total event volume compared to the previous event, not only for popular whiskey items but for the entire event lineup.
This event is a new concept liquor event first introduced by Lotte Mart in October last year. Since 2009, Lotte Mart had been holding a wine-centered event twice a year in spring and fall under the name 'Wine Market,' but this time expanded the scope significantly to include whiskey, distilled soju, and wine accessories. The target customers are the 'home drinking' customers who grew during the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and trendy liquor-seeking consumers in their 20s and 30s. The total sales of the first Juju General Meeting event held last October increased by more than 30% compared to the same period the previous year, with whiskey sales soaring over 80%.

This event applies a limited quantity 'Public Offering (酒)' concept, selling limited edition whiskeys that have recently caused a craze among consumers in their 20s and 30s. Representative products include Macallan 12 Year Double Cask, Hibiki Harmony, Balvenie 12 Year DoubleWood, Russell's Reserve Single Barrel, Suntory Yamazaki 12 Year, and Lagavulin 16 Year. More than 7,000 bottles of these eight popular whiskey types have been secured for daily limited sales.
In addition to popular 'blue-chip (酒)' and trendy 'high-growth (酒)' wines and whiskeys that will captivate wine and whiskey enthusiasts, trendy products such as Yuzu Shu, which is gaining popularity for its yuzu flavor, and black tea tonic water will be showcased. The Chilean premium Clos Apalta's second wine Le Petit Clos Apalta will be offered at an unprecedented price at Lotte Mart and Lotte Super, and cult American wine K Vintners Motor City Kitty 2018 for Shiraz enthusiasts, Molducca Blue Eyed Boy, a new face of the Shiraz house, and Benromach 10 Year, a representative product of Sherry & Pete, will also be available.
In line with the popularity of highballs and Yuzu Shu trends, yuzu-flavored Fukuiwai Yuzu Shu, cost-effective large-capacity whiskey Cocoon for highballs, the iconic highball Suntory Kakubin, Lotte Mart’s private brand tonic water 'One Good Today' (PB), and black tea tonic water popular among the 20s and 30s generation will also be introduced.
'Related liquor (酒)' products will also be available. Along with up to 40% discounts on representative wine accessory brands Vintorio and Spiegelau, various related products that can be purchased together with liquor, such as the hangover remedy Sangkwaehwan that supports home drinking before and after, will be offered at discounted prices.
There will be promotions offering an additional discount of 5,000 KRW for purchases over 100,000 KRW and 20,000 KRW for purchases over 200,000 KRW on wine event products when using event cards. Also, card promotions for popular products such as Suntory Kakubin, Glenfiddich 15 Year, and Molducca The Boxer will be available for Lotte Mart & Max card customers.
On Lotte On’s Lotte Mart Mall, a pre-order event for the Juju General Meeting - Whiskey will be held. During the event period, popular whiskeys such as Balvenie and Macallan will be offered in limited quantities at 10 a.m. daily, and among them, Hibiki Harmony, Russell's Reserve Single Barrel, and Lagavulin 16 Year will be online-exclusive products available only at Lotte On’s Lotte Mart Mall. Customers can select their desired date and pick up the products at Lotte Mart stores via Smart Pick.
