License Revoked for 13 People, License Suspended for 10 People
At the 61st Jinhae Gunhang Festival, 23 people were caught by the police for drinking and driving around the main event venues and roads in the province.
On the 26th, the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency announced that from 8 p.m. on the 25th until 2 a.m. the next day, they conducted drunk driving crackdowns around Yeojwacheon and Jinhaeru areas in Jinhae-gu, Changwon City, as well as at the Bukchangwon Interchange (TG) and Munsan Interchange on the highway.

According to the provincial police agency, among those caught, 13 had their licenses canceled and 10 had their licenses suspended.
The crackdown, conducted jointly with the Jinhae Police Station, involved 113 police officers including highway patrol, undercover patrol teams, and motorcycle patrol teams (Saika), along with 54 patrol cars.
At around 1:10 a.m. on the 25th, a driver in his 50s was caught near Jinhaeru for drunk driving.
The driver, who was seen staggering while driving after drinking, was reported by nearby civilians, and his blood alcohol concentration was 0.136%.
The provincial police agency plans to continue regular drunk driving crackdowns not only during the Gunhang Festival period but also around local festival venues to foster a culture of eradicating drunk driving, including surprise daytime drunk driving checks.
