SKT Launches New Corporate Campaign 'AI Is Everywhere'

Campaign Announcing Leap to 'AI Company' to Customers
First Episode Features Domestic AI Agent Service 'A.Dot'

SK Telecom announced on the 26th the launch of a new corporate branding advertising campaign, "SKT's AI is Everywhere," to introduce SKT's artificial intelligence (AI) that can be encountered in everyday life.


The campaign materializes the vision "AI to Everywhere," which SKT President Yu Young-sang revealed at a press conference during MWC 23 held in Barcelona, Spain, last February.

President Yu stated that to leap forward as an "AI company" leading innovation through AI services and technology, SKT integrates AI into five key areas: customers and technology, space-time (mobility and metaverse), industry (AIX), core business models (Core BM), and environment, social, and governance (ESG).


Through this advertising campaign, SKT, the leading mobile carrier responsible for Korea's "connection," plans to showcase as simply as possible how it connects customers' daily lives with AI as an AI company by utilizing materials related to these five key areas.


The first feature of the campaign is the "A. (Ada)" episode, SKT's large language model-based hyper-personalized AI agent service.


This advertisement naturally introduces various functions provided by "A. Dot," such as the "long-term memory" technology that remembers past conversations with the "user" and uses them in future dialogues, as well as diverse content like music and games, and the services of "A. Dot" that grow together with the user. Currently, the services offered by A. Dot include more than 30 types such as TV, photo, and tutor.


In particular, A. Dot applies "Image Retrieval" technology, which learns images and Korean text collected from various fields simultaneously, enabling it to think and express itself similarly to humans. This feature enhances communication and empathy with users, providing a service that can interact "like a person" and offering a familiar AI experience.


Additionally, to enhance the performance of A. Dot and AI, SKT has built the supercomputer "Titan" since 2021 and expanded its scale by more than twice in February this year.


SKT plans to present the new advertising campaign through various customer touchpoints such as broadcasting, print media, theaters, and YouTube. Following the "A. Dot" episode, various AI-based services including urban air mobility (UAM) will be introduced through the "SKT's AI is Everywhere" campaign.
