Ha Jongmok, the 1st Deputy Mayor of Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, visited the Changwon Fire Headquarters at 2 p.m. on the 23rd to inspect Changwon City's safety policies.
The visit was conducted to review major safety projects in Changwon and to examine overall safety policy progress, including the disaster safety system construction project. Time was also spent inspecting plans for normalizing Changwon City's fire services, strengthening the social safety net, and building safety infrastructure.
Deputy Mayor Ha urged safety measures to prevent casualties in anticipation of large crowds at the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival. He also visited the Pung-ho 119 Safety Center and rescue team, offering encouragement to the on-site personnel.

Deputy Mayor Ha took office on the 6th and, without holding a separate inauguration ceremony, has been conducting departmental briefings to quickly grasp the direction of city administration toward becoming the "Northeast Asia Hub City, Changwon."
On the 23rd, he led safety inspections at the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival site and is taking the lead in confirming Changwon's safety system.
Deputy Mayor Ha said, "With firefighters playing a pivotal role in responding to evolving disasters, the daily lives of Changwon citizens are safe," and added, "For the safety of Changwon, the hub of Northeast Asia, please continue to do your best on the front lines as you have been."
