Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, operates an Innovation Idea Bank (County Government Development Research Group) for public officials.
The Innovation Idea Bank for public officials is a club where public officials themselves participate in policy-making, propose creative ideas, and explore new directions for county government development. It will be operated by freely recruiting and organizing members without restrictions on departments, job series, or ranks.
The Innovation Idea Bank will conduct research on four designated tasks ▲Major transformation of agriculture, fisheries, and forestry due to climate change and aging ▲Creating new brand value for clean air ▲Enhancing population vitality through expansion of the resident population ▲Creating sustainable Uljin-type jobs, as well as autonomous tasks. Members will choose one topic from the designated or autonomous tasks to study.
County Governor Son Byeong-bok said, “The research group for public officials, which was suspended due to COVID-19, is being operated again, and we expect that the novel research results of the staff will become the foundation for county government development.” He added, “Not only the research results but also the process of operating the research group will provide a valuable learning opportunity for the members.”
