Labor Jin, the elected president of the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives, announced on the 24th that he will "restructure the organization to prioritize support for cooperatives and fishermen."
On the same day, at the inauguration ceremony held at the headquarters of the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives in Songpa-gu, Seoul, Labor Jin said, "We will realize a world of fishermen's wealth (漁富) where fishermen become prosperous."
Labor Jin served twice as the head of the Jinhae Fisheries Cooperative and was elected as the 26th president of the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives on the 16th of last month. His term will begin on the 27th and last for four years.
In his inaugural speech, Labor Jin emphasized, "We will introduce a system like the 'Coupang of the sea,' where freshly caught Korean seafood can be quickly delivered with added high value," and added, "I will wholeheartedly strive to implement each precious intention of the cooperative heads."
