Dong-Eui Science University, First Junior College to Operate Online Professional Associate Degree Program

Dong-Eui Institute of Technology will operate the first online associate degree program among nationwide junior colleges.


On the 24th, Dong-Eui Institute of Technology announced that it received approval from the Ministry of Education for an online degree program and will operate the 'Smart Production Process Management' online associate degree program, the first among junior colleges nationwide.


Until now, junior colleges were regulated so that online courses could not exceed 70% of the curriculum, but starting next year, online courses will be allowed for advanced departments related to the 4th Industrial Revolution.

The Smart Production Process Management department was established to respond to the advancement of digital technology, the paradigm shift to demand-customized production, and intensified global competition, and to cultivate production process personnel equipped with smart factory process operation and management capabilities in the field of advanced new technologies.


Accordingly, Dong-Eui Institute of Technology is building a digital studio for online content production and is working on producing high-quality content to operate the online degree program next year.


Kim Tae-kyung, Director of the Digital Lifelong Learning Center, said, “Through the development and operation of excellent educational content, students are guaranteed the right to learn beyond time and space,” adding, “Our university will strive to cultivate professional personnel in the smart production process management field through our online degree program.”


Since 2012, Dong-Eui Institute of Technology has been providing online education to adult learners after receiving evaluation recognition for the credit bank system based on remote learning from the National Institute for Lifelong Education.
