BladeENT Subsidiary BladeMedia Hosts Drama Script Contest with Total Prize of 300 Million Won

Blade Media announced that it will hold a drama script contest with a total prize of 300 million KRW starting from the 17th, in collaboration with Kyungnam Pharmaceutical and Blade Entertainment, to commemorate its entry into the drama production business.

Blade Media, a subsidiary of Blade Entertainment, the largest shareholder of Kyungnam Pharmaceutical, is launching a full-scale drama production business and planned this contest to discover talented writers' scripts.

The contest is open to both new and established writers, and submissions are accepted regardless of genre or subject matter, as long as the script is for a series of six or more episodes based on 60 minutes per episode.

Applicants must submit a proposal including a logline, planning intent, character introductions, and episode summaries including the ending, along with scripts for episodes 1 and 2, approximately 30 pages in total.

Each person can submit up to two entries, and co-writing is allowed with up to two writers. If the writer is the original author, they may adapt novels, webtoons, scenarios, etc., for which they currently hold copyright, to submit.

The total prize money for this contest is 300 million KRW, with 100 million KRW awarded to one grand prize winner, 50 million KRW each to two excellence award winners, 30 million KRW each to two merit award winners, and 20 million KRW each to two encouragement award winners.

Additionally, the winners will join Blade Media as affiliated writers and participate in the planning and development process for one year.

Submissions for the contest can be sent via email from April 17 to May 4, and the winners will be announced on July 17 on the official website and notified individually.
