The Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) announced on the 24th that it will hold the 2023 'KPGA Professional Golf Team League' following last year.
The KPGA Professional Golf Team League was established in April last year to revitalize professional golf teams and promote sponsoring companies and KPGA players through a year-round league system. Afterwards, the final round will be conducted in a modified Stableford format over 18 holes in Round 1, to determine the ultimate champion team of the 2023 professional golf team league season.
This season, three new teams?Sokcho Ai, BC Card, and Amazing Kree?will participate. Along with last year's first-place winner Hana Financial Group, teams such as Geumgang Housing, Volvik, Woori Financial Group, Woosung Construction, Webcash Group, Givent, BRIC, CJ, COWELL, DB Insurance, NH Nonghyup Bank, and SK Telecom have expressed their intention to participate for the second consecutive year. This season, a total of 17 teams and 64 players are expected to compete.
KPGA Chairman Gu Ja-cheol said, "I sincerely thank the team owners and team officials who are participating as teams this season. I hope the players belonging to the teams will lead the league's success with their best performances. KPGA will spare no effort to promote both the players and sponsoring companies."
