Nara Spirit announced on the 24th that it will launch 10 varieties of Frapin, France's premium cognac, in the domestic market. Nara Spirit is an independent corporation of Nara Sella, a wine importer, primarily importing and selling spirit products such as cognac, whiskey, and vodka.
Frapin, making its official domestic debut this time, is located at the heart of Grande Champagne, the top cognac-producing region in France, and is the only cognac producer and seller in this area. Combining traditional methods dating back to 1270 with new techniques, Frapin has created a unique and artistic cognac style that embodies deep and rich flavors with delicate and subtle aftertastes.
The representative cognac is the limited edition "Frapin Cuv?e Rabelais," which honors Frapin Rabelais, a 16th-century writer, physician, and humanist scholar, featuring an orange pumpkin hue. The Cuv?e Rabelais is presented in a special crystal decanter plated with 24-carat gold on the neck and base, engraved with a unique serial number, expressing the luxury and elegance of the cognac. Additionally, the aroma is enriched with woody notes and apricot preserved in sugar, while dried fruit and licorice scents, along with the complex aroma of Charente Lanson (aged sweet wine), provide a long-lasting finish accompanied by cigar notes. Cognac Frapin is available for purchase at Nara Sella Reserve and Wine Time.
Nara Spirit also plans to import Delamain, known as one of France's finest cognacs, alongside Frapin. Although Delamain does not own vineyards or distilleries, it uses only base spirits aged for over 15 years and is famous as a pure blending company that has preserved the philosophy and methods of cognac production for over two centuries.
Chairman Ma Seung-cheol of Nara Sella has been preparing over the past year through the independent affiliate Nara Spirit to introduce whiskey and spirit products with special stories and distinctiveness to the domestic market through a selective process. A Nara Spirit official stated, "Following the launch of the cognac brand Frapin, we are preparing to release various spirit products such as Delamain by the end of May," adding, "We plan to continue introducing carefully selected products to consumers focusing on four key aspects: uniqueness, story, distinctiveness, and differentiation."
