The Knox Suite is designed to easily deploy and manage the devices used by the Guard. Administrators can remotely monitor and manage the location of all security devices, and in case of device loss or theft, they can remotely erase the data. When a security threat is anticipated, threat information can be shared in real-time across multiple devices held by the Vatican Swiss Guard. Patrol leaders can check the deployment status of all members at a glance, making it effective for responding to emergencies.

Recognizing these advantages, the Vatican Swiss Guard uses Samsung mobile devices equipped with the Knox Suite for security purposes. Considering not only security excellence but also durability, devices such as the Galaxy XCover Pro and Galaxy Tab Active series have been supplied to the Vatican Swiss Guard. These products boast an IP68 rating, protecting devices from water and dust, and meet the ruggedness required by the U.S. military standard (MIL-STD-810).

Samsung Electronics explained that the Galaxy Tab Active2 is especially important in emergencies due to its good touch sensitivity even when wearing gloves, considering the Guard's uniform, and its long battery life. Additionally, the Galaxy Tab Active3 features a clear high-resolution display and supports the 'Push to Talk' function, a walkie-talkie communication method.

The Vatican Swiss Guard is tasked with protecting the Pope and the Apostolic Palace of Vatican City. Vatican City receives an average of 25,000 tourists daily.
