Enjoy Night Views of Spring Flowers in Full Bloom at Gyeonghoeru and Heungnyemun
The Cultural Heritage Administration's Palace and Royal Tombs Headquarters announced on the 23rd that night tours of Gyeongbokgung Palace will be operated from May 5 to May 31.
This is a palace utilization program that sells out every year. Visitors can stroll around Gwanghwamun, Heungnyemun, Geunjeongjeon, Gyeonghoeru, Sajongjeon, Gangnyeongjeon, Gyotaejeon, Amisan, and enjoy the night view of spring flowers in full bloom. The busiest area is Gyeonghoeru, where lavish banquets were held. The weeping cherry blossoms in full bloom and the pavilion reflected in the pond add to the charm.
The viewing hours are from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Entry closes at 8:30 PM. However, the tours will not operate on Mondays and Tuesdays when Gyeongbokgung is closed, and from April 26 to May 2 due to preparations and performances for the Royal Culture Festival.
The advance reservation site is '11st Ticket'. Tickets for April can be booked starting on the 29th, and tickets for May can be booked from April 26. The daily sales quantity is 2,500 tickets. Each person can purchase up to two tickets. However, foreigners can purchase tickets on the day at the Gwanghwamun ticket booth.
Free admission is granted to those wearing hanbok, national merit recipients and their spouses, persons with severe disabilities and one companion, persons with mild disabilities, holders of national bereaved family certificates, children under 6 years old, and seniors aged 65 and above. Visitors can enter by presenting identification and related documents at Heungnyemun.
