The National Library of Korea under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is holding a special memorial exhibition for the first anniversary of the late Lee O-ryeong titled "The Book of Lee O-ryeong" until April 13. Visitors who post a photo of their visit on their personal SNS will be entered into a draw to win an online cultural gift certificate, awarded to 30 people. On the 12th of next month, the first 30 visitors will receive a book signed by Mrs. Kang In-sook, the wife of Dr. Lee O-ryeong.
The exhibition was jointly planned by the National Library of Korea and the Yeongin Literature Museum to commemorate the first anniversary of the late Lee O-ryeong. It is composed of six sections: "Corridor of Silence," "Study of Creation," "The Power of Words, The Power of Writing, The Power of Books," "Encountering Lee O-ryeong," "Path of Infinity," and "Goodnight Lee O-ryeong." Visitors can view various contents including Lee O-ryeong’s books, handwritten manuscripts, cherished items, and videos. Since the exhibition opened on the 25th of last month, a total of 2,708 people have visited as of the 21st.
Docent programs are held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 3 p.m., and every Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. By accessing the library’s website digital collection "Giants of Our Time: Lee O-ryeong," visitors can also view electronic materials related to Lee O-ryeong.
