Naju City in Jeollanam-do is recruiting students for the ‘2023 Social Economy Startup Academy’ for prospective entrepreneurs who wish to start social economy enterprises.
According to the city on the 23rd, this recruitment targets citizens who wish to start social economy enterprises such as ‘social enterprises,’ ‘village enterprises,’ and ‘cooperatives,’ accepting individuals or teams (up to 3 people) with a total of 15 spots available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Applications can be submitted by visiting the Naju Public Interest Activity Support Center or online through the website by the 31st of this month.
The Social Economy Academy will be held once a week (2 hours per session) for 9 sessions from next month on the 6th until June 1st, inviting expert lecturers in each field.
The curriculum focuses on acquiring basic theories of social economy and practical knowledge and information necessary for actual startups, covering topics such as social economy systems and enterprise types, corporate establishment by type, successful startup cases, business model design, corporate tax accounting, utilization of policy funds, and marketing strategies.
The city plans to select outstanding startup teams through business model presentations among academy graduates (teams) and provide initial startup funds.
All graduates (teams) will receive customized consulting for establishing social economy enterprises aimed at entering the social economy sector next year.
A city official said, “We hope that through this training course, social economy enterprises leading job creation for local residents, solving community problems, and engaging in mutually beneficial economic activities from a public interest perspective will be discovered.”
