Held at COEX, Samseong-dong for Four Days Starting April 5

The coffee exhibition showcasing the latest trends in the coffee industry, '2023 Seoul Coffee Expo,' will be held for four days starting April 5th at COEX in Samseong-dong.

This year, Seoul Coffee Expo has presented 'B.L.E.N.D (Bean, Less, Eco-Friendly, New, Dessert)' as the key keywords for the domestic coffee industry.

Bean refers to coffee beans, emphasizing the need to blend various beans to create differentiated flavors as the number of specialty coffee shops increases every year. Accordingly, this year’s Seoul Coffee Expo will feature a special pavilion called the Roasters Club, where leading specialty coffee companies participate. Visitors can experience beans from a total of 30 distinctive roasteries, including Font Coffee, Cosphere, and Berg.

Less signifies the 'zero' trend sweeping the coffee industry. As consumers increasingly seek zero coffee with reduced caffeine and sugar to align with the 'healthy pleasure' trend that balances health and taste, demand is rising. Eco-Friendly refers to environmentally friendly cafes. At Seoul Coffee Expo, there will be opportunities to learn about various alternatives for eco-friendly store operations, such as plastic substitute products and food waste recycling solutions.

New means that acquiring information about new products, from raw materials to machines, has become a crucial success factor. Seoul Coffee Expo will organize a special pavilion for new products leading coffee industry trends, introducing a variety of items from equipment like the AI barista robot 'VAIRI' to raw materials such as the 'Magic Strawberry Frozen' by People F&B.

Dessert represents the dessert market, which is expected to continue growing. Since COVID-19, the proportion of desserts in cafes has gradually increased, and with the rise of the 'Hondizok'?people who enjoy desserts alone?the coffee industry anticipates further growth in the dessert market.
