Global healthcare company Korea Eisai announced that it has finalized the selection of 20 senior welfare centers nationwide to participate in the "Brain Health School with Korea Eisai" (hereinafter referred to as Brain Health School).
Korea Eisai signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) last November at the Korea Senior Welfare Center Association in Yeouido with the Korea Senior Welfare Center Association to operate the senior welfare center-type cognitive activity service "Brain Health School." From December last year to January this year, a pilot class was conducted at 16 welfare centers nationwide, followed by a recruitment in the first half of the year.
In this regard, Korea Eisai conducted training for practitioners on the 7th of this month at the auditorium of the Korea Senior Welfare Center Association in Yeouido, Seoul, with 20 welfare centers nationwide selected through the first half recruitment (including Gwanggyo Senior Welfare Center, Government Senior Welfare Center, Seoul Metropolitan Dobong Senior Welfare Center, etc.).
The Brain Health School practitioner training is characterized by practical content applicable to this program, such as how to use the company's cognitive solutions and the Memory Care training course.

A Korea Eisai official said, "Korea Eisai, which has been conducting open innovation every year with the goal of building an ecosystem in the senior healthcare field and discovering new business models, selects solutions that are easy to apply to seniors and provides programs in two of the five core areas (cognition, physical, social, nutrition, emotional) of cognitive intervention programs: cognition and physical."
He continued, "First, SaemiTalk, a lifestyle brain health service through interactive communication with seniors, provides various content for brain health as if talking with a friend. Uwa Dance helps improve the physical domain through professional instructors and systematic physical activities, remembering the story of the work through movements, performing various dance movements for health promotion, and helps strengthen physical strength, flexibility, and cognitive ability."
He also added, "For groups with subjective cognitive decline, mild cognitive impairment, and mild dementia, the Memory Care program, a structured cognitive training program with a multi-domain approach, teaches training methods using meta-concepts for memory strategies."
Meanwhile, starting at the end of this month with Bucheon Si Ojeong Senior Welfare Center, Korea Eisai plans to hold entrance ceremonies at each welfare center and conduct a total of 12 Brain Health School training sessions by June.
