"February Short-Haul Airfare Transactions Up 380% Compared to Last October"

Travel and leisure platform Yanolja Oneday announced on the 23rd that the transaction amount for short-haul airline tickets last month increased by more than 380% compared to October of last year, when visa-free travel to Japan resumed.

The main short-haul routes include regions within a 5-hour flight time such as Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. Compared to October last year, the transaction amounts by country in February this year increased significantly in the order of Japan 401%, Vietnam 251%, and Thailand 180%.


Yanolja Oneday has focused on short-haul travel destinations, emphasizing reasonable prices and the spontaneity of traveling freely at any time, which are preferred by its main customer base, the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z). Since November last year, it has also strengthened marketing by holding special airfare events for East Asia.


Yang Hee-jung, head of Yanolja Oneday’s Outbound and Mobility Division, explained, "Although the overseas airline ticket service is in its early stages, it is achieving stable results," adding, "Based on the positive performance in the short-haul sector, overall awareness of our overseas travel services is increasing."
