Grand Reopening of Sihwa Branch on the 30th
Homeplus announced on the 23rd that Mega Food Market is achieving visible results in food sales and gaining great popularity among consumers.
According to Homeplus, food sales at 10 stores in their first year after renovation increased by an average of more than 40% compared to the same period last year, as of the 15th of this month. This is the result of bold investments in store renovations since last year, focusing on finding new opportunities in offline channels.
Mega Food Market has allocated more than 50% of the store area to food sections, offering a diverse range of fresh foods, ready-to-eat meals, and convenience foods. Additionally, Montblanc Bakery, Food To Go deli corner, and Fresh To Go salad corner are located at the store entrance.
Mega Food Market is achieving record-breaking performance. On the first weekend after renovation, February 19 of last year, the Ganseok and World Cup stores each surpassed daily sales of 1.1 billion KRW and 1 billion KRW, respectively. On the 1st of this month, six Mega Food Market stores exceeded 1 billion KRW in sales, driving growth.
Homeplus completed the renovation openings of the initially targeted 17 stores by the end of last month. On the 30th, the Siwha store will reopen after renovation. A Homeplus representative said, “We will continue to focus on customer perspectives in renovating Mega Food Market stores to become a retail company that provides customers with fresh experiences every day.”
