Gyeonggi-do Future Technology School Recruiting Trainees for 5 Courses Including AI and Intelligent Factories Recruitment Poster for Students at Gyeonggi-do Future Technology School

'Gyeonggi-do Future Technology School,' a cradle for nurturing future technology talents, is opening new courses, completing a practical curriculum overhaul, and recruiting students for 2023.

The Gyeonggi-do Future Technology School aims to cultivate specialized talents in future technology fields tailored to corporate needs, such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and intelligent factories (smart factories), suitable for changing industrial demands like the 4th Industrial Revolution and carbon neutrality.

This year, it operates practical expert lectures, field training, and certification acquisition courses in collaboration with large companies such as Samsung SDS, KT, and Naver Cloud.

In particular, campuses are established in key locations within the province to promote regional balanced development and future technology workforce training simultaneously, including northern Gyeonggi (Goyang - AI, Uijeongbu - big data, cloud operation and development), western Gyeonggi (Siheung - intelligent factories (smart factories)), and southern Gyeonggi (Seongnam - semiconductor manufacturing technology), areas that are IT underserved.

The recruitment fields include five courses: ▲ Intelligent Factory (Smart Factory) Development ▲ AI Development ▲ Big Data Analysis ▲ Cloud Operation ▲ Cloud Development. The number of students is 140, an increase of 50 from the previous year.

The Intelligent Factory (Smart Factory) Development course targets 25 students and aims to train practitioners who can develop, manage, and process data for intelligent factory (smart factory) applications in manufacturing sites.

This course is held at the Siheung Campus (ABC Learning Town Youth Collaboration Village).

The AI Development course targets 25 students and aims to train developers who implement AI application software using machine learning and deep learning systems. It is conducted at the Goyang Campus.

The Big Data Analysis course focuses on enhancing AI-based big data processing skills and data visualization capabilities. This year, 20 students are selected for each semester, with education held at the Uijeongbu Campus (near Uijeongbu Station).

The Cloud Operation course is a program to train cloud operation experts through various practical projects, selecting 25 students this year and conducting education at the Uijeongbu Campus.

The Cloud Development course selects 25 students and is held at the Uijeongbu Campus. The education goal is to cultivate experts who can design infrastructure in cloud environments and develop Java web applications.

Applicants must be unemployed Gyeonggi-do residents aged 19 or older who wish to receive education and employment in future technology fields. Applications can be submitted online through the Gyeonggi Job Foundation's integrated application system 'Jobaba Apply' by the 24th of next month.

The courses start in May and run for 3 to 6 months until November, with 440 to 920 hours per course.

Tuition is free, and various benefits are provided, including a monthly training allowance of 400,000 KRW (20,000 KRW per day, supported if attendance is 80% or higher), support for obtaining relevant certifications, and creation of employment portfolios.

An Chi-gwon, Director of the Job and Economy Policy Division of the province, stated, "The Gyeonggi-do Future Technology School will strive even more to operate education reflecting the demands of field companies and industrial trends."
