Jeonnam Fire Department and Fire Facility Association Join Forces to Ensure Residents' Safety

The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters and the Gwangju-Jeonnam Chapter of the Korea Fire Protection Association joined forces to explore ways to ensure the safety of residents.

On the 22nd, the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters announced that it held a meeting with the newly formed executives of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Chapter of the Korea Fire Protection Association in the headquarters' video strategy conference room.

The meeting was attended by 15 people, including Hong Young-geun, Fire Headquarters Chief; Ko Seong-dong, Chairman of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Chapter of the Korea Fire Protection Association; and Kwon Soon-yong, Director of the Korea Fire Protection Association Central Committee.

Both organizations agreed to collaborate from their respective positions and to carry out social contribution activities such as providing fire safety services to vulnerable groups for the safety of residents.

The Korea Fire Protection Association is a specialized fire industry organization that strives to improve fire protection technologies such as the design, construction, supervision, and fireproofing of fire facilities, and to promote the sound development of the fire industry.

Ko Seong-dong, Chairman of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Chapter of the Korea Fire Protection Association, said, “If the fire department is responsible for the safety of the people in the public sector, then the fire industry exists in the private sector,” adding, “We will work together with a sense of pride and fulfillment.”

Hong Young-geun, Chief of the Headquarters, said, “I believe the fire department and the Fire Protection Association are a community with the shared goal of ‘ensuring public safety,’” and added, “Let us work together so that this meeting today can lead to greater trust and confidence from the residents regarding safety.”
