The Damyang Bamboo Festival, held for the first time in four years, has changed its name to ‘2023 New Bamboo Festival’ to advance from a local festival to a global festival.
Under the theme ‘Let’s Go Into the Bamboo Forest!’, all public officials are working hard on-site to reexamine the value of bamboo and provide various attractions to tourists.
Along with preparing diverse festival programs, thorough arrangements for parking facilities, various convenience facilities, and safety measures are planned to prioritize the convenience and safety of tourists.
Governor Lee Byeong-no said, “We are preparing to welcome tourists with more colorful and renewed programs,” adding, “We will focus on making the festival a stay-type and profit-generating event, and do our best in the remaining period to ensure it is linked to the income of local residents.”
