Ulsan Autonomous Police Committee, Guide to Support Agencies by Type of Victimization
"Have you been a victim of a crime? We will inform you where to get help!" Ulsan City is taking steps to strengthen the social safety net through support for crime victims.
The Ulsan City Autonomous Police Committee (Chairman Kim Tae-geun) announced on the 22nd that it will produce and distribute the "One-One Crime Prevention Guidebook," which allows easy access to information on institutions supporting crime victims.
The guidebook is designed in the form of a map and comprehensively includes information on various counseling and support institutions, focusing on crimes requiring prompt counseling and support such as school violence, abuse, and sexual violence.
For foreigners such as marriage migrant women, Chinese and Vietnamese translations have also been produced to enable many citizens to easily use victim support institutions and receive counseling and assistance.
The guidebook is organized by type so that socially vulnerable groups in Ulsan, including children and adolescents, women, people with disabilities, the elderly, and foreigners, can easily check the locations and support methods of support institutions when they suffer from crimes or other damages.
The cover includes a QR code that links to the committee’s website, where users can access a crime prevention manual that clearly explains legal terms and investigation procedures by crime type. Additionally, users can receive navigation guidance to nearby victim support institutions.
The committee will distribute a total of 17,000 copies to ▲ 301 CU convenience stores ▲ multi-use facilities (large marts, hotels, universities, train stations, airports) ▲ government offices (community centers, police substations) ▲ and related institutions for socially vulnerable groups.
Chairman Kim Tae-geun said, "We will build a dense network through cooperation between the public, private sectors, and police to ensure that socially vulnerable groups and citizens can be safer and receive the necessary support."
