Clash with Lee Geun After Trial on the 20th
Proposes 'One-on-One Match' Following Legal Dispute Warning
"I Want to Land a Punch on Lee Geun's Face"
A YouTuber who was assaulted by former Captain Lee Geun (39) challenged him to a duel, saying, "Let's settle this like men on the stage."
On the 21st, YouTuber A posted on his YouTube channel, "Even if it's a fight I am sure to lose, I want to land a punch on Lee Geun's face," issuing a challenge to the former captain.
He added, "If you accept my proposal, I will never mention you again and will withdraw the assault complaint. It seems you prefer violence and instinct over law and reason, so I will fight you in the way you like. If you are a man, don't back down?let's have a match on the ROAD FC stage."
Earlier, former Captain Lee had revealed a complaint on his YouTube channel ‘ROKSEAL.’ It stated that in January, he filed a lawsuit against A and others for violations of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. (defamation).
Their confrontation became vivid on the 20th when Lee was leaving the Seoul Central District Court after a trial for passport law violations.
While attending the trial, A repeatedly asked in the hallway, "You've been a credit delinquent for six years; aren't you sorry to your creditors?" In response, Lee cursed and struck A in the face.
Afterwards, A persistently followed Lee among reporters, protesting, "What do you think about assaulting me in court? Aren't you sorry to your creditors?"
Lee then cursed and swatted A’s cellphone out of his hand. A retorted, "Property damage? Is this property damage?"
The situation seemed to settle due to intervention from those around, but the conflict continues as A responded to Lee’s legal dispute threat with a 'one-on-one match.' However, Lee has not officially responded to A’s demand.
Meanwhile, former Captain Lee, a Navy Special Warfare Unit (UDT/SEAL) veteran, was indicted in January for illegally leaving the country without permission from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and entering Ukraine, which was under a Level 4 travel advisory (travel ban) as of February last year.
He is also accused of fleeing the scene without providing aid after causing a motorcycle accident while driving in Seoul in July last year (hit-and-run causing injury under the Special Act).
