Over 2,000 Gas Stations and Charging Stations Nationwide... Enhancing Customer Convenience
The Only Refinery to Introduce 4 Simple Payment Methods, Now Adding Apple Pay
GS Caltex announced on the 22nd that it has introduced the Apple Pay simple payment service to enhance convenience for fueling customers.
On the same day, GS Caltex implemented Apple Pay, Apple’s simple payment service, at over 2,000 gas stations and charging stations nationwide. As a result, customers using GS Caltex gas stations who own Hyundai Card and an iPhone can now enjoy a more convenient fueling payment service through Apple Pay without the need for physical cards or cash.
GS Caltex is the only oil company to offer four simple payment services. Following the introduction of KakaoPay, Naver Pay, Payco, and Zero Pay, GS Caltex proactively added Apple Pay, building a differentiated service to maximize convenience for fueling customers.

A GS Caltex representative said, “The introduction of Apple Pay holds great significance as it reflects our commitment to providing customers with diverse digital technologies without limiting service boundaries in response to changes in customer lifestyles.” He added, “We will continue to prioritize customers by discovering differentiated services to further enhance customer experience and improve convenience in fueling spaces.”
Since launching the Energy Plus mobile application (hereafter, app) equipped with the ‘Baro Juyu’ (Direct Fueling) feature, which allows simple ordering and payment at gas stations in 2021, GS Caltex has secured 700,000 subscribers within a year and a half, maintaining its position as the industry leader in the fueling payment app market.
The GS Caltex Energy Plus mobile app’s main feature is the ‘Baro Juyu’ service, which enables customers to pre-register fuel type, fueling volume, and payment methods in the app, allowing fueling orders and payments to be completed at gas stations with just a barcode scan or PIN input.
GS Caltex Energy Plus was launched in November 2020 under the concept of “Energy, Expanding Its Possibilities” to convey the energy company’s intent for change and expansion and to integrate future-oriented business areas as GS Caltex’s new brand.
