Director Choi graduated from Hanyang University College of Medicine and earned his master's and doctoral degrees from the same graduate school. He began his association with Eulji in 1991 when he joined Daejeon Eulji University Hospital as the head of the Gastroenterology Department.
He later moved to Hanyang University College of Medicine, serving as dean of the medical school, and from 2019 until earlier this year, he served as Vice President for Medical Affairs and Director of Hanyang University Medical Center. Externally, he has also been active as chairman of the Korean Pancreatobiliary Association, president of the Korean Society of Internal Medicine, and president of the Korean Society of Gastroenterology.
Director Choi said, "I am pleased to work at Gangnam Eulji University Hospital, which has reopened in the heart of Gangnam with top-notch facilities," adding, "I will contribute to maximizing the synergy effect of the four university hospitals under Eulji University Medical Center."
Gangnam Eulji University Hospital, which reopened earlier this year after a two-year large-scale renovation, will operate two specialized centers: the Health Screening Center and the Women's Cancer Recovery Center. To this end, it has equipped the latest medical systems and reconfigured most of the 33 beds into premium single rooms with high-end interiors. Additionally, the entire 5th floor has been transformed into a comfortable convenience space including a skin care room, dry sauna, fitness room, and four-season garden.
The two specialized centers are scheduled to open in the first half of the year. Currently, Gangnam Eulji University Hospital is providing outpatient care from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., focusing on family medicine, gastroenterology, and hematology-oncology specialists.
