The ‘Resident Writer Support Project for Libraries’ is a program that supports personnel expenses and program operation costs so that writers can reside in public libraries and provide various literary contents for local residents.
It receives 17 million KRW in national funding and will be conducted over six months from this month until September.
The Miracle Library plans to operate literary programs focused on reading, writing, and expression for children with an active writer, including ‘Strong Literacy,’ ‘Diary at Noon,’ and ‘Writing Prescription.’
The ‘Humanities on the Road’ project, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Library Association, receives 9 million KRW in funding and will be held 14 times in total from June to October.
Under the theme of ‘Expanding Perspectives through Buildings (館)’, knowledge lectures and building explorations of libraries, art museums, and museums that are part of our daily lives will be conducted.
The ‘Reading Books with the Library’ project is a reading culture program where the Miracle Library visits local children’s centers to provide book reading services, operating once a week for a total of 19 sessions from May to September.
By reading different picture books each week, it aims to help children achieve emotional stability and develop proper reading habits, as well as to familiarize children with libraries and books through outdoor classes such as library tours and explorations.
