ResearchAlum predicted on the 21st that InBody will grow due to increased demand for medical devices.
Researcher Ham Tae-yoon of ResearchAlum stated, "We plan to launch a home-use body water measurement device within this year for patients who need cellular nutrition tests and sarcopenia diagnosis, such as cancer, dialysis, and diabetes patients," adding, "The existing professional body water measurement devices have been used in medical institutions to maintain the dry weight (the weight when the body is not swollen, blood pressure is normal, and physical strength is at its peak) of dialysis patients."
He continued, "The home-use body water measurement device will be released together with a mobile phone application, expecting diversification of revenue sources."
Researcher Ham analyzed, "Last year, we delivered about 150 units of InBody 770 to the US Marine Corps," and added, "Recently, we have sold more than 250 additional units, indicating increasing demand for high-end products in developed countries." He emphasized, "Professional teams such as the US NBA basketball team LA Lakers, major prestigious clubs in the UK Premier League, as well as professional clubs in Spain's La Liga and Italy's Serie A have started to actively use InBody."
He explained, "It is possible to provide systematic training information to occupational groups such as athletes and soldiers who need body composition management," and noted, "The sales of the US local corporation increased by 55.6% last year."
