VL Le West, a high-end senior residence located in the Magok district of Seoul, offering enjoyable and diverse infrastructure for a fulfilling retirement, is officially starting its subscription application.
The complex will be developed with 4 buildings, ranging from 6 basement floors to 15 above-ground floors, totaling 810 units. As it is supplied in the heart of Seoul, it boasts abundant infrastructure and is comprehensively designed to consider the characteristics of seniors, including medical care, resident services, community, and programs within the complex.
The subscription period for VL Le West is from 9 AM on March 21 (Tuesday) to 5 PM on March 23 (Thursday) via the official VL Le West website, where applicants can select from 1st to 5th preferences per military district, one person per application. Eligibility requires applicants to be 60 years or older as of the move-in date (October 2025) (born on or before October 31, 1965). Proxy applications are also allowed through direct family members or agents aged 19 or older.
The announcement of successful applicants is scheduled for March 24 (Friday), and the official contract signing will take place over three days from March 28 (Tuesday) to March 30 (Thursday).
Urban silver towns are expected to address the low accessibility and insufficient infrastructure of peripheral silver towns and meet the needs of the aging population. Therefore, the subscription for VL Le West is anticipated to attract significant interest. In fact, when the model house opened earlier this month, it received high acclaim with about 10,000 visitors over three days.
First, as it is supplied in downtown Seoul, accessibility is excellent. The complex is located near Magok Station on Subway Line 5, Magoknaru Station on Subway Line 9, and the Airport Railroad, forming a triple station area. Large shopping malls and cultural facilities such as Lotte Mall, Lotte Cinema, and the large-scale LG Art Center Seoul are also close to the complex.
Additionally, residents can enjoy a large natural environment even within the city, and convenient movement is possible through an underground pedestrian passage within the complex. Approximately 500,000㎡ of the ‘Seoul Botanical Garden’ and the ecological park ‘Seoul Botanic Park’ are connected via the underground pedestrian passage within walking distance. Especially, Seoul Botanical Garden plans to offer various walking programs linked with the park, providing diverse leisure time.
Moreover, through an agreement with Ewha Medical Center, residents can use Ewha Seoul Hospital adjacent to VL Le West, and the complex plans to operate (support operation of) the ‘Bobath Memorial Hospital Health Management Center’ within the premises.
Through the premium senior residence brand ‘VL (Vitality & Liberty)’ operated and supported by Lotte Hotel, residents can enjoy services such as reservation agency, business support, mail management, ‘hotel-style concierge service,’ ‘housekeeping service’ with cleaning twice a week inside units, ‘hotel chef-managed meal plans’ based on hotel restaurant expertise, and a ‘one-stop service’ that handles various inquiries and requests through a single channel.
In the future, benefits will also be provided for contract holders and initial residents. The down payment is fixed at 10 million KRW, a 5% interest rate support on 10% of the down payment, and 50% of the intermediate payment is interest-free, reducing the financial burden on buyers. For initial residents, the rental deposit will be frozen for 10 years, and in case of vacancies after moving in, residents will be prioritized over waiting applicants, with the possibility to change unit types.
