March 7 and November 20: Campaign to Promote Gender Equality Organizational Culture

This campaign was organized to spread awareness of gender equality in the workplace and to build a consensus for improving perceptions, and it is scheduled to be held on March 20th, July 20th, and November 20th.
The March activity included a survey on employees’ perceptions of gender equality experienced in daily life and at work, as well as pledges to practice creating a gender-equal organizational culture, providing an opportunity to assess gender sensitivity in everyday life and reflect on discriminatory elements in the workplace.
Employees participating in the campaign responded to a survey on ‘What Pohang City needs to create a gender-equal organizational culture,’ with the most common answer being ‘Creating a workplace atmosphere where everyone respects and cares for each other regardless of gender.’
Pohang City plans to continue various campaigns such as OX quiz competitions and book exhibitions to bridge perception gaps between genders and generations, increase interest in gender equality, and make efforts to establish a gender-equal organizational culture.
